Accessibility training course for VET staff
STIT consortium produced an interactive online course for VET staff
In today’s digital world, education has evolved, offering learning opportunities for people everywhere. But making sure everyone, including those with disabilities, can access education online is still a big challenge, especially in vocational education and training (VET). Teachers need to support students with disabilities in online classes.
To tackle this problem, we’re excited to introduce a new online course for making learning accessible. It’s been developed by a group of educators to help VET teachers understand how to create inclusive online classrooms.
Course Overview:
This course is a series of pre-recorded interactive lessons. They’ve been designed to be engaging and easy to follow, with quizzes and activities to help you learn. We’ve also worked with experts to make sure the content is interesting and helpful.
What you’ll learn:
What accessibility means
The rules about accessibility in different countries
How to help students with different disabilities, like vision or hearing impairments
Using digital tools that are accessible to everyone
Examples of how other educators have made their classes inclusive
This course is special because it uses videos to teach. Videos are great for learning because they keep you interested and help you remember information better. Plus, you can watch them on your phone or tablet, which makes learning easy and convenient.
In a world where technology is changing how we learn, it’s important to make sure everyone can access education equally. This course is our way of helping teachers do just that. By learning how to make online classes inclusive, we’re making education better for everyone.
